Storytelling Tip of the Day
Storytelling Tip #6
Stories Make Connections. Your audience will respond to your story if they connect with a character, resonate with a situation or see themselves in the story in some way. These associations make your messages memorable, because your audience will think about them long after they've finished watching. It's easier than you might think, because your audience is naturally searching for these connections in the relationships, quests or struggles that your hero faces. To get started, think about your audience and what they might relate to. Or, try out universal themes that all audiences will relate to, such as struggle, pain, love or loss.
